The Purchasing Agent handles the purchasing of raw materials, packaging, MRO (maintenance, repair, and operations), and miscellaneous materials required to support internal and external customer demands.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Must enforce all safety and housekeeping policies at all times.
Must be a professional at all times when dealing with K-Flex USA associates, internal or external customers and suppliers.
Reviews daily inventory reports to ensure that an adequate supply of all materials are available to satisfy customer demands ensuring there are no manufacturing interruptions related to purchased material shortages.
Creates and places purchase orders with appropriate suppliers as needed ensuring all products and services meet company expectations.
Monitors periodic usage of raw materials and packaging, adjusts min/max levels as required.
Identifies, resolves, and corrects problems related to purchasing such as quality, scheduling, or invoicing issues.
Communicates any process improvements to the Director of Operations.
Negotiates with all suppliers of raw materials and packaging using the following objectives in order of importance:
Highest quality of products On-time delivery of products Best price of products Innovation of suppliers Maintains filing and organization of all purchasing documentation.
Communicates effectively with all departments and external suppliers regarding any purchasing related issues in a timely manner.
Will be required to perform all other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
High school diploma plus at least 5
years of related professional experience OR Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university focused in business management, procurement, supply chain, or related field and 1
years of related experience.
Experience with ISO 9000 standards is a plus.
Experience successfully negotiating with suppliers to achieve best price options to meet Company goals and objectives.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Proficient in MS Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume and foreign currencies.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to resolve problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress.
Computer literacy applied to scheduling and data management to include MS Office suite and the company's ERP system.
Must be able to work with internal and external customers to achieve the organizational goals.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills requiring the ability to resolve conflicting interests and obtain cooperation.
Solid analytical skills in forecasting and anticipating production needs and capabilities.
Must be able to work organized and complete assignments on time.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift objects of up to 10 lbs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
