Location: Wake Forest / Youngsville, NC area
Hours:Monday? Thursday (6am? 4:30pm) 10 HR Shifts with OT Opportunities
Rate: $15 - $18 / hr.
On Board PMO is hiring one, possibly twoManufacturing Machine Techniciansfor our client in the Youngsville/Wake Forest, NC area. TheManufacturing Machine Technician is responsible for ensuring production equipment is running effectively, safely, changeovers and setups, general maintenance, upgrades & improvements, and coordinating processes to keep production running efficiently.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day-to-day plant maintenance and operational changes with the team leaders and supervisors
  • Step in and run equipment when needed to fill in for operators of during engineering studies.
  • Participate in safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety manual and other industry safety standards
  • Provide leadership and communicate company productivity expectations to employees and team leaders
  • Assist in developing and implementing procedures and best practices as related to operations
  • Conducts routine plant walk through and surveillance of plant and equipment.
  • Performs minor maintenance preventative maintenance, and calibration activities
  • Audits operation and equipment instructions and forms to ensure the processes are being followed and the systems are under control
  • Support the engineering team with the transfer of product to operations
  • Flexible work schedule; Able to work overtime as needed
  • Complies with OSHA Safety & Health rules and provides required documentation
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 0-3 years of experience within operations at a manufacturing company.
  • Willing and able to work a 40 hour + week.
  • Ability to wear safety gear, protective equipment, gloves, uniforms and other articles of safety clothing or gear as required by OSHA,DOT, and/or state and local regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to interact with a variety of internal and external customers; ability to read English
  • Demonstrate a basic knowledge of general computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), with the ability to learn company specific equipment operation.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team setting and as an individual with minimal supervision
  • Must be a leader who is bright and technically sound
  • Must be a visionary and "hands-on?, capable of interacting effectively at every level within the business
  • Must be a team player as well as a goal-oriented individual who functions with the highest level of integrity and professionalism

Preferred Qualifications
  • Associates or 2 year Technical Degree in Mechanics, Electronics, or related field
  • One (1) to Two (2) years of Operations experience within the assembly environment.
Environment & Working Conditions
  • This position is generally performed indoors in a plant or office environment (but may require outside work too) and requires specific physical requirements that must be met, including:
  • Some heavy lifting and considerable moving of equipment (regularly lifting up to 25 pounds)
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Sitting as needed
  • Climbing, bending stooping, kneeling, crouching
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
